School is coming to an end, and summer is finally here! You will have plenty of time to watch so many amazing summer movies. These movies are some of my favorite movies that I watch all the time, especially during the summer. Check out these top movies as we go into July and the long days arrive.

Grown Ups (2010)
I grew up watching Grown Ups; it’s one of my top movies of all time, and one of my first picks to watch in summer. It was released on June 25, 2010, so it’s the perfect choice for an amazing summer movie. It’s a comedy movie produced by the one and only Adam Sandler, starring him and his best friends, so you know it’s gonna be a great movie.
The movie is about five middle-aged men meeting back up at their old coach’s funeral and spending a few days at a lake house. They reminisce about old memories and make plenty of new ones, including their wives and kids. They also encounter their old basketball rivals and finally settle their differences in a rematch basketball game years later.
I think this movie is an amazing choice for multiple reasons. All of the characters are likable, and watching them enjoy summer activities like visiting water parks and lakes and attending a Fourth of July fair really gets you ready for your own summer adventures. The way all the kids come together and make friends is so special, considering they grew up in different places and are meeting each other because of their dads.
I recommend you check out this movie as soon as possible, and it will make you get ready for your own summertime quests.

The Sandlot (1993)
If you haven’t heard about this movie before, I’m super excited to be the one to tell you to watch it. It’s a very lovable movie about a group of kids. Watching them spend their time together in the summer playing baseball is so special to me, considering how I also play softball, and seeing the different dynamics between them is something special.
The movie starts with the new kid, Smalls, making friends with a group of boys who play baseball at the sandlot. They spend their time together playing baseball and going on adventures. The boys run out of money to buy more balls, so Smalls borrows his stepdad’s baseball, and things don’t go as they would like. They then have to try to figure out different ways to get it back from the neighbor who has a beast living in the backyard.
This is an amazing summer choice that I could not recommend more. The group of kids is so funny, and watching them with each other is hilarious. Two of my favorite scenes from this movie are when they are all hanging out at their local pool on an extremely hot day and when they play a game of baseball on the 4th of July night. They’re my favorite because they really show the summerness in the movie. I always love a good summer fair scene, and they definitely do not disappoint me with theirs.
The Sandlot gives off a lot of summer vibes, and you should totally check it out.

Snack Shack (2024)
Snack Shack is on the newer side of coming out and is a great summer pick. The two boys in it are very funny and random; they are really entertaining to watch because they act more like brothers than best friends. It’s set in the summer of 1991, making it a perfect movie choice.
The movie is about two boys trying to earn money by opening up the old snack shack at their local pool. The boys face some friendship problems when the cool new girl moves into town. They have some trouble being mad at each other while still working together, but something tragic happens that brings them back together, reconciling their friendship.
This movie isn’t as popular as Grown Ups or The Sandlot, but it’s still a very good summer choice. Since it’s set in summer and the boys are running a snack shack, you can’t help but feel the summer vibes blasting through the screen. They’re really funny to watch, and they are around the ages of 14, so it’s cool to see and connect with them.
All of their fun and exciting side quests really get you in the mood for your own summer activities.
All three movies are comedy-based and are very funny and entertaining choices. They make me want to settle down after a long summer day filled with many adventures and pour myself a glass of lemonade. Check out these movies after your own long, adventurous day!
