From Justin Bieber to Lady Gaga, no matter the genre, musicians showed up to the 2026 Grammys in style. Jaw-dropping features, highlighting trends like shimmering sequins, feathered accents, and heavy embroidery from head to toe. Everyone is always on the lookout for each celebrity’s outfits and what they decide to show off. Some were bad, some were good, but most were great. So let’s take a look at a couple of the top-most reviewed outfits from that night and rate them out of ten
Starting with the avant-garde queen, also known as Lady Gaga. To no surprise, she really stepped up her game. Not that it was ever low in the first place. Gaga didn’t just arrive; she took over the Grammys red carpet. Her dramatic black feathered gown did not disappoint as it had volume, beauty, and style. I thought this outfit complimented her so well, and definitely scored a 9.2/10 in my opinion.
Next off, we have the rising pop artist Addison Rae. First known as a TikTok creator, she has found her way into the music industry with over 17 million monthly listeners on Spotify. You may know her two most popular songs “Fame is a Gun”, and “Diet Pepsi,” which have both blown up across social media. She can sing and dance, but can she dress on the red carpet? Sadly, not really. Her outfit was basic but bold, and unfortunately, not in the best way. Personally, I just thought the cut of the dress was off. The front looked as though it was cut like paper and the bottom poofed out completely. Sometimes “edgy” doesn’t land–and this was one of those times. So for this outfit, I’m going to have to rate it a 5.3/10.
Next up, we have Kendrick Lamar. I feel like he never disappoints, as his outfits always have people talking afterwards. Arriving on stage in a custom Chanel tuxedo that perfectly balanced classic and swag. The sharp black jacket, pleated shirt and pearl chain spoke volumes. Accessories included diamond studs and a subtle hair pick that overall made the outfit personal over formal. I would have to give this a solid 10/10.
Lastly, we have Chappell Roan. I’m sure you’ve heard and seen the talk around this outfit. As well as being interesting, it also happened to be super controversial. Many agreed that it was either “inappropriate” or “unclassy” to be worn. Either one, it got people talking. Really talking. The basic structure of Chappell Roan’s dress was a sheer burgundy chiffon gown with a long train, flowing almost like a liquid veil. But the real talking point was how it was held together: instead of traditional straps, the dress was suspended from nipple piercings, which, in her version, were actually prosthetic attachments applied to her body. The color of the dress itself was a deep reddish amber, with simple but whimsical details. A long drape of sheer trailed behind her, creating drama.
While it seemed to attract a lot of negative feedback, there were still many people who liked it. Some praised it as a true avant-garde fashion moment. Like, this isn’t the first time Chappell Roan has shown off her unique and expressive style. Personally, I love it when artists express themselves through clothes. And this outfit really did that. It wasn’t meant to blend in; it was designed to spark a reaction. Overall, I thought it was interesting. Not necessarily very good, but not bad either. That’s getting a 6.5/10.
In the end, the 2026 Grammys were a delightful mix of avant-garde makes and sharp classics. This wasn’t a year of playing it safe. Artists used clothing to communicate identity, legacy, and creative control, blurring the line between performance and each of their personal styles.
