Located on Alberta Street is Bobadochi, a wonderful spot for treats and drinks. This location on Alberta Street opened recently and is already gaining popularity. Bobadochi has a wide variety of items to enjoy, such as mochi donuts, boba, and Korean corndogs. Also, their cozy spot offers an amazing space to enjoy all your treats with your friends.
The shop may seem small on the outside, but it still has plenty of space to sit and enjoy your food and drinks with others. If you’re there for the mochi donuts, you can head straight to the case to serve yourself some donuts before heading to the counter to order your delicious beverages and corndogs. Overall, I’d say the space has nice vibes and is great if you want to stop and enjoy your food with others.
The donut case was filled with so many delicious-looking options that it was hard to decide which ones to get. They have some options that are a little more extravagant and lean towards the sweet side, but they also have some simpler options. I think this variety is great because it allows you to choose whatever you prefer. I ended up getting two mochi donuts to review: matcha strawberry crunch and s’mores galore. I chose the s’mores one purely because of how extravagant it looked compared to some of the others. The matcha one I chose because I’ve been enjoying everything in a matcha flavor recently.
The first donut I tried was s’mores galore, which I would say was the better of the two. It’s their mochi donut drizzled with dark chocolate and graham cracker crumbs, with a giant marshmallow on top. The dough is soft, but still chewy like mochi, and has an overall great texture. The marshmallow on top is chewy, but still insanely soft, making it one of my favorite marshmallows I’ve had. Overall, the donut was a little on the sweet side, but the flavor and the texture were amazing enough to make up for it.
The other donut I tried was matcha strawberry crunch, which is a great option if you’re looking for an option that’s simpler and maybe a little less sweet. This one is their mochi donut glazed in matcha chocolate, covered with both strawberry drizzle and a crunchy strawberry topping. The matcha glaze had an amazing flavor because it wasn’t too sweet and tasted like a creamy cup of matcha. The strawberry drizzle and crunch added a pop of sweetness that helped to balance out the donut. This donut was a little less sweet and would be a great option if you preferred slightly simpler treats.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes sweet treats and wants to try a new place. They have a great selection of donuts, with many different flavors, so I guarantee you could find one you like. Next time, I would also like to try one of the many boba options they have, or even maybe their Korean corn dogs. So, if you’re ever down on Alberta Street, I’d recommend stopping by Bobadochi and trying out some of their great donuts.
