Some of the best things about fall are all of the movies to watch. They get you cozy and ready for Halloween. I love to watch specific films in the fall because they make me feel warm inside and happy. These are just a few movies that I recommend you check out this fall.
Hocus Pocus
The movie follows two siblings, a teenage boy and his little sister, as well as his new friend. They go exploring an old haunted house on Halloween night and uncover a spooky old curse. They bring back the Sanderson witches, who steal kids’ souls to keep themselves young and pretty. It’s up to them to save their town and kill the witches for good to end the curse.

Hocus Pocus is just one of those movies you have to watch every year when fall comes around. The movie makes you just want to crawl up in a big, fluffy blanket and drink some hot cocoa. The witches, zombie and cat give the perfect addition to the fall and Halloween vibe. I really enjoy all of the jokes they make and the little sayings throughout the movie; it balances out the “scariness” of it. This movie is great for those who don’t like horror movies to watch during the fall. It’s just a great movie that still gives you the same fall vibes as a horror movie would, and more.
Halloweentown
The movie is about three siblings finding out a big secret about their lives that their mother kept from them. They follow their grandma to an unknown place and wind up in a different and spooky Halloweentown. The town has some big problems going on, and they have to use their new secret to save everyone, or should I say everything in Halloweentown.

I love to watch this movie series every year when fall comes around. The movie never gets old, and the story hits every time. The big pumpkin in the movie gives a great touch to the whole fall vibe, aswell as all of the little pumpkins and old trees. The movie came out in 1998, so I really enjoyed the older quality before greenscreen and CGI became a thing. I think it is the perfect amount of old to still be interesting, and it’s a good watch for those who like 1990s movies. Halloweentown is a great movie to get you ready for Halloween and fall.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
If you are looking for a good fall movie with animation and voice acting, I’d recommend you check out Fantastic Mr. Fox. The main character, Mr. Fox, breaks his promise to his wife and steals from his neighbors’ farms, giving into his animal instinct. He ends up endangering his family and friends and has to find a way to make everything right again.

I really like this movie because it’s more about fall rather than Halloween. The orange hue throughout the movie really hits the fall aspect. I am fond of the story and enjoy all of the characters’ backgrounds and feelings. The surroundings in the movie portray fall extremely accurately. I really like how the animals are very relatable, and it gives people some comfort and coziness, which really captures the whole fall vibe accurately.
Each of these movies has a different story and vibe, but they all mesh well and are amazing choices to watch during this season. Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown are more Halloween-themed while Fantastic Mr. Fox is more fall-themed, but each of them are great movies I think you should check out!
