I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for making me feel welcome in the newspaper class. Although I’ve only  been a real member of the newspaper crew for two quarters of the school year, it’s been a true pleasure to be a part of your team. I have really appreciated the opportunity to learn in this amazing environment with all of you. 

Looking back on the last few months, I realize just how much I’ve learned, whether it was with the discussions we had together, the games we played, or the times we worked really hard on projects as a team. This class has so much to offer and I have truly been inspired by all of you.  I am really grateful to have been a part of this class, and I will take with me lessons and values that will help me the rest of my life.

I also would like to give a special shout out to SB for always being supportive and understanding. To create an engaging and safe environment where it is pleasant to work and easy to ask questions when help is needed – this is a big part of what makes this class so special. I also want to thank SB for allowing me to join the class in the middle of the school year and for making  it easy to get integrated and involved. 

I would like to conclude by thanking every single member of the class who has been so kind to me and to have accepted me in the group. 

Before I came here, I was a high school student in Belgium, and I realized how those two experiences are different. Being a student in America gave me so much joy and experience compared to Belgium. All the teachers here were more inclusive and kind with me than anywhere else. I am so glad that I can say that I was happy to come to school every single day of this school year.
