“The Oregonian’s Nine Lives of News” was created by artist Bob Hansen: portrays a black cat with sky blue eyes and pieces of newspapers scattered around its surface. The text on its chest reads “Americans walk on moon! ‘Giant leap for mankind.’” All Coraline Cat Trail statues are positioned to have their heads tilted to the side. It is one of many unique statues based off of The Cat from the movie Coraline by Henry Selick. These statues, along with an app called Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail, were made as a celebration for the movie's 15th anniversary. This event spanned from Aug, 2. To Oct, 13.
