We all know about the popular drink, boba tea, that all teenagers crave and go crazy for. The delicious cold brew tea is mixed with milk, and multiple different varieties of toppings are added, with the most popular one being tapioca pearls. It may be popular now, but have you ever wondered how it was invented?
It is actually called bubble tea and was made in 1986 by a tea house owner named Tu Tsong-he. He was inspired by the white tapioca balls he saw in the local market of Ah-bo-liau and made tea using the traditional Taiwanese snack. It is now known as “pearl tea.” Now that you know the history of bubble tea, do you want to know where you can get this refreshing sweet drink? At T4 Tea House, just down 82nd Avenue.
T4 Tea House serves this boba drink but with multiple flavors and toppings. Not only that, but if you get hungry or are not in the mood for a drink, they also serve delicious food for you to grab a bite. Also mentioned is that there are different varieties of drinks and food, but when I arrived there the atmosphere was so fresh and vibrant. I could not even see a speck of dust! The walls are painted a vibrant teal and white. It’s bright, but not to the point that it’s obnoxious. The floors are made of clean gray wood that matches the black tables where you can sit and chat with family or friends while drinking or eating.
The menu consists of drinks such as smoothies, milk teas and regular iced teas. They let you choose how sweet you want the drink to be and how much ice you can put in your drink, which I find very useful because you can customize it to your taste standards and satisfy your needs. The add-on toppings you can put in your drinks are unlimited, but they are 50 cents each. The foods are labeled and considered more as “snacks” to pair up with your drink. They vary from $1 to $10, which I find incredible considering their type of food! Some of the items are mostly fried foods, rice plates and crepes! You can even add ice cream for an extra $1.50. Don’t you love a place where you can get drinks and food that range from $1-$10? Sounds like a deal to me!
I ordered a passion fruit royal tea from there. Don’t even get me started on how quickly they make and serve your orders. It was served with just the right amount of toppings and so much flavor in the drink. I was satisfied with the drink and how it was made so quickly! The service is spectacular and the portions are just right.
Considering what I’ve told you, I believe that T4 Tea House is an incredible place to go get a delicious drink or snack—or even a meal—and also great to bring your friends or family. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the workers are good at their jobs and give you great service, even during rush hour. The price range is very reasonable and can get you really delicious food even if you have a tight budget. So make sure to visit T4 Tea House just down 82nd Avenue for a good time and a good bite!
