Final update on this year’s sports achievements

Softball team made state playoffs and finished 2nd in the PIL.
Track and Field Achievements:
Aaliyah Salvador: Placed second at varsity districts in the 300m hurdles and qualified for state.
Princess Fletcher & Lily Mae Buerkle: Both qualified for state in shotput.
Lily Mae Buerkle: Placed first in women’s discus in districts.
Princess Fletcher: Placed third in women’s discus in districts.
Maleigha Canaday-Elliot: Placed first in high jump, long jump and triple jump at districts, also placed first in state for girl’s triple jump.
Eli Watnick-Wizeman: Placed second in men’s javelin in districts and qualified for state.
Elliot Black, Artem Hoffman, Raphael Blandini, Finnegan Quinn: Placed second in men’s 4×400 and qualified for state.

Jackson Mailey (he/him) is a senior, he likes sports, music, and photography and videography. He likes reporting sporting events and leading the newspaper because it’s very fun.

Lane is a senior, and he is passionate about wrestling, transit access and oxford commas. People describe him as intense, driven and hungry. He likes being a journalist because he can shed light on controversial issues and bring the voices of marginalized communities into the spotlight.
